Aw, speed dating. You’re exposed to so many people in a short amount of time for you to find out if they’re the one or not, by first impressions. I do this–I admit it. But not in the way you think. I don’t date people, I date…books. Yup, I’m a nerd like that. I go to Barnes & Noble, stand in my favorite sections and expose myself to a ton of books to encourage me to want to read more.
I can tell you first hand–it works.
Next thing you know, I start dating one of the lucky picks. Most of them only result in one date, but there are some with which I try to sustain a relationship with a series of dates. None of them will be permanent, just casual. But, they all help me figure out more about me in the long run. What better way to self-reflect, right?
Well, I’ve had great success with this program and I want to share my experience with other fellow readers to encourage them to try it. You can find some of my dates below.
If you have read any of them and notice, they’re basically book reviews.
After “dating” my books, I like to tell the world a bit about them, because they each deserve love. No, you won’t know their whole life stories (no spoilers), but you’ll get a pretty good idea of what you’re in for.
